Let's inventory the Obama presidency

Post what he did that was bad or good. Be succinct but detailed enough for people to judge it. Example:
Bad: His DOL pushed through a too-dramatic change in the FLSA salary basis test. Minimum salary increase was too steep if this was to be done at all.
At the end we can perhaps judge his term fairly.

GOOD: Engaged in unprecedented expansion of executive power laying the foundation for a very strong Trump presidency.

Bad - His healthcare law caused a MASSIVE cost shifting for medical services from insurers to the middle class.
Bad - His healthcare law established minimum benefits so wide ranging and comprehensive that the overall cost of health insurance premiums/deductibles had to rise considerably to account for the coverage.
Good - Insurance exchanges are a good idea with poor implementation. Not denying coverage due to pre-existing conditions is a good idea with poor implementation. Encouraging EMR use is a good idea, but with poor implementation.
Everything "good" he's done usually goes to far, causing negative unintended consequences.

BAD: Blew a tremendous opportunity to reconcile race relations in this country. Instead he stoked the fires intentionally for what he thought would be political gain thereby setting things back 30 or so years AND pushing his party into the hands of fringe lunatics and to the brink of irrelevance.

BAD.. Biz Con = Flat lined a normal recovery. I called it here before his first election. I was right.
GOOD.. Nothing.

No good that Obama did can erase or counter balance shutting down the laws in the matter of Clinton's national security violations re her e-mails or her perjury before Congress and destruction of documents that were under subpoena.
And frick you if voted for her.

Except that they measure business confidence and it didn't tank when he came into office. I showed Zach this long ago.

Hey, you wouldn't believe the grief I got here when Obama was re-elected. They said "Zach, businesses can't sit on investment capital for 8 years."
Me: "Watch."

good/alright
-despite slow recovery growth, still made it out of the recession in 2008
- a sweeping education overhaul of No Child Left Behind and a budget deal that avoided the threat of a government shutdown (bipartisan deal)
- doesnt pertain to me personally but damn im glad we can stop the whole gay marraige nonsense and can move on with more important stuff
Bad
-Obamacare/ACA, selfish single party move that is ruining middle class america and everything mentioned above.

Support for Veterans- increased the VA budget by a large margin and expanded the GI Bill.
Repealed Don't Ask Don't Tell- It was a useless law that prevented perfectly capable volunteers from serving in the military.

This is what disappoints me the most. And Obama did a lot of disappointing things.
He had a chance to truly make a difference and inspire. But he chose to destroy and tear down.
It's really sad, actually.
