Wonder how many of the weapons used in those other murders were legally obtained

Holy shite, BR has less days than Atlanta? Quite a difference in size there, don't you think?

And before you come and tell me that Atlanta proper is pretty small (<500K), I interpreted this as Atlanta Metro (4-5mil).

Once a month Vegas massacre = Chicago

Surely a bump stock ban will cure that right?

Not far enough. Chicago should just ban guns altogether.

seriously, what would that do? Handguns are illegal there, and handguns are used to commit almost all of the murders

446 homicides in Chicago so far in 2017 have no suspect charged. That is scary as hell. Basically like 90% of people who die in Chicago the Police have no idea who is did it nor does it look like they have the resources to investigate at a rate that keeps up with the murder rate.

Also it does in fact look like one month in Chicago = the LV massacre. Chicago has averaged 56 gun deaths per month in 2017.

Liberals don't like to talk to the police to help them solve the crime. Much of the time the witnesses know of or actually know the shooters yet they say nothing.

"Mass Shooting"

Is when a lot of people are shot in one location at the same time. Like the LV shooting.

Your point seems a bit scattered. First, most draw a distinction between largely indiscriminate murder (be it a random shooting at a commercial venue, terrorism, or anything else) and gangland violence waged among known parties with standing “beefs.” Second, if the Times’ point is that the violence of a single day is significant when it equals a month’s worth of violence in the most violence city of a comparatively violent country, they have one.

But maybe I missed your point and theirs altogether?

Not good enough. Chicago should ban crime. It's the only way to be sure.

Surprisingly few violent crimes in Atlanta itself....downtown is about as safe as a small town....but you ain't gotta go far to get in the shite.....
