They need to pass some laws limiting the agencies that can't be cut so we can cut more spending.

Did you make this?

Not criticizing, it just seems like something you'd do...

I have a surplus of $1.2 billion.

All coming from the General Government section.

Passing laws won't do it. We would need a new Constitution.

Also this game is fundamentally flawed. It is bigly off on Statutory dedications. We have close to 4 billion in stat deds. This game shows just over 2.4.

Eliminated State Personal Income Tax
Gave corporations a 10% reduction in Tax
Increased Sales Tax to 9%
Didn't even touch Higher Ed nor Work Programs
Reduced the Correctional Services Discretionary to 60 mil
Didn't Touch Environment or Business
Reduced Health and Hospitals Discretionary to 833 million
Reduced Children and Family Services Discretionary to 100 million
Reduced "OTHER" (Whatever the hell that holds) in Government Discretionary to 8 million.

Surplus of 964 million a year.

Reasoning:

I didn't touch anything that promoted economic growth or job growth. I removed the personal state tax to put money back into the peoples pockets and increased the state tax to truly tax the consumer and keep them in check on buying good they truly need vs want.

I reduced all the Discretionary pork drastically minus the Hospitals (I only reduced by 1/2).

This should promote better jobs, higher wages, more education.

Increased BY 9%?

If it's TO 9% how did you calculate that on the graph?

That was easy. I lowered taxes and still had a huge surplus. Yall should elect me to be the governor or something.

I assumed the dollar amount was the 5% sales tax LA has now. I just adjusted the dollar amount to reflect a 9% tax.

No change to education spending. "Students" still not happy.

ETA: I eliminated all but sales and excise taxes, and did not increase those. Honestly, those tax revenues would likely increase if you removed the corporate and personal income taxes, so the surplus would be higher. Fines might decrease some though.

I can't lower the ones that I want because they said it isn't possible.

But I now have a surplus of $700 million after vastly increasing infrastructure spending and lowering corporate and income taxes.

It should all be "discretionary spending" imo.

I tend to dump the $700 million or so surplus that I get into DOTD's budget.

Driving in Baton Rouge every day will cause that urge.

I think that is part of why they did this.
