quote:

Speaking of presidential politics, was President Obama responsible for some of the failures of 2016 and if so, how?" one of the moderators asked.

"Yeah, he was," Ellison said.

Ellison, who serves as the deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said Obama could have been a better party leader.

"I totally voted for many things that he supported … But Barack Obama could have been a better party leader, and I think that the fact that he wasn't has put his legacy in jeopardy," Ellison said.

quote:

His legacy is the work that he has done, which I believe is tremendous. But, given that we did not – we lost a lot of state house seats, governorships, secretaries of states, his true legacy is in danger," Ellison said. "And I think that he can't say that he wasn’t part of those losses. I mean, who else. Right?"

Keith Ellison has gone rogue. Doesn't he know we aren't allowed to blame the dear leader for anything?

I don't know. I think the radicals within the Democratic party did more to damage their brand than anyone. HRC certainly did quite a bit of damage herself.

This is the day I always dreaded. The moment Dems stop blaming everyone else and start looking in the mirror. I need some more Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters on prime time tv to make me feel better.

I can't believe people don't realize this. Just look at what the Dems lost over the past 6 years. If there is anything/anyone else to blame, i'd like to hear who.

Keith Ellison is right on.

And he should also be talking about finding whoever decided it was Hillary's "turn" and setting their house on fire.

He was a good party leader. Unfortunately a lot of Dems were scared little chickens when it came time to stand behind him, especially on the ACA.

Didn't help to have Ellison, DWS, and Clinton stabbing him in the back on key issues and being general screw ups. Clinton had her stupidity on Benghazi and Syria as well as the private server. Without those Obama's record would have been near spotless and Dems would have won a lot more races in Congress.

GOP should dig up some more dirt on him.

They can't have democrats speaking the truth to their party can they?

The 2010 and 2014 midterms were epic beatdowns. Can't blame those on HRC or DWS or Ellison.

2010 was because no one in the Dem party could talk about the ACA and defend it properly. 2014 was all about Benghazi and HRC, as well as some Dems running from the ACA and the Iran deal.
