When you can't even get a freaking plurality of blacks to agree with you, you are losing the issue.

Statistics of what people want don't really matter when a group is running around taking them down by force. Anything can be accomplished when you sue fear and violence to do it. How very Nazis of them.

But it proves this issue is a loser for the democrats, politically. I have been saying this in multiple threads.

Forget your opinions on the right/wrong of the matter. Is this a winning issue for Democrats politically? I think the overwhelming answer is no.

We love our polls don't we folks?

Seriously though, surprised PBS would offer up that poll.

The dumbfricks tried to pull down a peace statue in Atlanta. The most vocal are intellectually deficient.

So half haven't realized yet that they're supposed to be outraged? Expect CNN and MSNBC to do a major piece on why they should be upset.

You've cable news convulsing over this 24/7, protests nation-wide, it's the biggest news issue at present, yet it's currently a loser.

This is not an issue that will improve with time. It will be worse. If it's a loser today, it will be a cancer in a year.

What I would prefer to see is a poll from the area where the statues stand. Rather than polling all of America about something that only concerns the citizens of that area, let's see what the actual residents want. I bet that number in favor of leaving the statues would be a lot higher.

People in New York shouldn't be telling people in New Orleans what statues they can and can't have.

But I do like seeing the results of that poll in the OP.

A. What would the numbers have been 10 years ago?

B. There's still more they can do. Momentum is not on the side of the statues here

Shocking but good to hear.

Another case of white liberals being offended for minorities rather then letting minorities fight their own battles important to them.

This is why people shouldn't get so worked up about it. This is pushed by a few thousand extremists. The majority of Americans are watching this and will blister the Left come '18 & '20.

There has been a lot of talk about how we will become a nation without a majority in 30 years. However, whites and Hispanics will still comprise around 80% of the population.

I just don't believe that it's going to work out like some black speakers believe
