Same canned bs downing republicans and Trump specifically on both shows for 10 minutes straight.

And people are still doubting the media bias huh?

I don't remember a single thing these guys talked about for the last 8 years

I'd love to see some type of formal analysis on how much money in free advertising the Dems get from the late night shows

It makes the current GOP dominance on all levels of govt even more impressive. Being able to overcome this

Right now, Trump and his administration are the easiest political target since the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal. It's a softball everyone's gonna swing at.

I don't even bother anymore.

We're watching an old Disco Biscuits show.

It sucks. I used to be a late night show junky, but don't even watch any of them anymore. Even my liberal dad is out because it's just not entertaining anymore. Oddly enough, discovered in conversation that we'd both been watching old Letterman clips on YouTube, from the days when late night shows did comedy.

These late night shows job is to get ratings. If berating Trump gets them the most viewers that's what they're going to do. It also helps that Trump gives them easy material with his tweeting or actions every day. I know they are trying to get a younger audience for the late show which is why they brought in Colbert. A bunch of idealistic young people love trump bashing.

I was a big Leno fan. I miss the old days of comedy where everyone and everything were fair game.

A joke or two about trump is funny. Literally going on an unfunny ten minute diatribe about how terrible and stupid he is, is a bit much

It's a shame. Fallon has some pretty funny bits.

The best late night show was Johnny Carson.

His advice to Leno was solid: Don't take sides, and don't let your bias show. If you do, you immediately alienate half of your audience.

I think Colbert has gone off the deep end. His show will not survive the constant stream of anti-Trump jokes.

Nuff said. Leno was a total hack and universally disrespected by most of his peers.

Who said anything about safe spaces or being violated?
It's just a discussion.
Don't try so hard.

A discussion about how uncomfortable the OP is with "everybody against Trump."

Keep melting.

Not sure why you put that phrase in quotes; OP said nothing of the sort.
No melt here.
I'm just trying to figure out your angle.

I'm not uncomfortable. I just think it's dumb and pathetic that both of the late night shows have stooped to the level they have where they've completely thrown impartiality out of the window.
