Jim Harbaugh has been a firm supporter of Colin Kaepernick — his former quarterback — for some time now.

And when it comes to a player's right to express himself, Michigan's head coach supports that, too.

Asked Saturday night after a 28-10 win over Purdue if he agrees with President Donald Trump's suggestion that NFL owners "fire" any player seen protesting the national anthem, Harbaugh's answer was quick:

"No, I don't agree with the president," Harbaugh said. "That's ridiculous.

"Check the Constitution."

Jim Harbuagh has obviously been cucked by the people's republic of Ann Arbor.

What happened to the Jim Harbaugh who defied university policy and allowed his players to watch American sniper?

Stupid. What they should be checking is the NFL personal conduct policy.

That's fine

This whole ordeal has nothing to do with the Constitution. If the owners think these players are costing them money then they should fire them. If they are ok with it, then the players can do it. They have no "right" to protest while in uniform or on team time.

Really the owners are in a no win situation. If they tell players they can't kneel they are racist bigots. If they tell them they can then they are Antifa and BLM advocates. Either way they alienate part of their customer base.

People can't grasp the idea that the constitution applies to the GOVERNMENT, not PRIVATE ORGS.

Just checked it, what does that have to do with a coach cutting a player for inappropriate statements if he chooses to do so?

Gee, how was Google able to fire that guy for spouting his political beliefs at work?

Gee, how does the NFL have rules about players writing things on their eyeblack?

It's almost like employers get to have a say in what their employees can do and say at work.

When did Harbaugh become an idiot?

Btw, I've had to listen to about 30 responses from coaches and athletes on this subject.

My fricking goodness they all come off as complete morons.

Bingo. Left wingers are so disconnected from middle America they have no idea how dig of a hole they are digging themselves into.

Tomorrow there are likely to be massive player protests of the national anthem and the left wing in this country are going to be cheering them on.

They are completely clueless as to how middle of the road Americans view these protests.

This whole kneeling crap is so ridiculous. They aren’t bringing any unity. Now some baseball guy I’ve never even heard of is doing it and he gets coverage time.. and he makes absolutely no sense.

It can be pretty depressing to think about if you let it. Oh well. Moving on.

And once again I have to say this truth.....

A private company is legally able to enforce their values. It is why Chick Fi Lay can close on Sundays.

The above is for the idiot fanboys of the equally idiot ball players...

You CAN get fricking fired for what you say/do on or off company time.

Welcome to the real world you idiot SJW's.

Let me drop a real story....I started washing dishes at 14. I progressed to running the kitchen line by 18.

I got tired of that work and went into another field. At the bottom.

Within 2 years I was running the entire department.

My fricking point is this. I do not hire any liberal SJW pussies. Y'all can gfy

I also “run the entire department” and think you’re an idiot if you don’t hire someone based on their political ideology. Some of my best employees have been people who have similar AND opposite political views. We’re all adults and can make it through our work day without feeling the need to shared our views.

The easiest way to do that would be to spout the leftist PC nonsense like everybody else who craves public approval does.

Outside of being exactly the opposite of correct you have a great point!

hahahahahaha
