I've continually said all along that JBE is the political twin of Edwin Edwards. Even when so many self professed conservatives on this board that were eating his bullshite up, I knew he was a fraud and he would prove it in short order.
This was at Edwin Edwards 90th B-Day party at the Renascence hotel btw.
Oh and I love this gem from Edwin as well.

I live in Tangipahoa Parish, I tried telling these people as well. But he may not be able to run again. The FBI is all over the Tangipahoa Sheriff's office and his Brother Daniel Edwards. They have seized computers from the Sheriff's office and the substation in Hammond as well as Daniel Edwards home computers. Not sure what they are looking for but the FBI doesn't go fishing unless they know the pond is fully stocked. JBE and Daniel are tied at the hip. I am purely speculating but its like if one is doing illegal stuff then the other one probably is also.

I've been doing a lot of business lately in Tangi parish and I've heard some interesting stories on the Edwards clan running law enforcement there forever.
I'm pretty confident that we'll be able to get rid of JBE in 2019 regardless but the feds making life difficult for him can't hurt either.

JBE's electoral hearths are NOLA and BR and it's hard to gauge how the rest of the state feels about him. Directing contracts to his legal buddies and seizing photo ops are enough reasons to justify why I never did and never will vote for him.
Jindal's first term went well using the resources of LA Econ. Dev't. in attempts to secure new business, but his lame duck term used those resources to travel and generate contacts for himself.

Honor Code my arse! This guy will lie, cheat, steal and say anything it takes to get elected. He had me sold during the campaign when he declared that he would never stoop low to attack another man's character because he lived by a honor code. Being a veteran, I applauded him for that. Then a few weeks later he put out commercials berating his opponent for involvement with a prostitute. Of course, he blames others for the commercial but hey, they would have cleared it with him first....Liar, liar pants on fire!

Yeah they have been neck deep in it for a long time. Back in 1980 people were beginning to be feed up with it. Old man Frank Edwards ( JBE's Dad ) had been sheriff for about 20 years. He was in a battle with a guy from Hammond when a 3rd candidate Ed Layrisson from Ponchatoula swooped in a stole the election. He was sheriff from 1981 to 2003. He was a pretty good sheriff a real law man who started with Louisiana wildlife and fisheries. He wasn't a lawyer looking to work the system. I am not saying Daniel has done a bad job but their certainly has been a lot of rumors and some head scratching things that have happened.
