It's times like this that I hate politics the most.
With the emotional arguments, political hacks (especially in the media) trying to gain a political advantage on the backs of dead victims and conspiracy theories flying around it just makes me want to back away.

For example there was no news on TV in the family room last night. I knew/know it was going to a constant flow of bull shite so I changed the channel. We watched HGTV for the first time in a long time. lol

My favorite time is election time followed by the legislative process which in itself can be very frustrating. At least we are seeing government/politics in action albeit it's probably like watching paint dry for some people besides political junkies like me.

I'd say watch Anderson Cooper at this time because he doesn't preach immediate legislation, very much broadcasts the stories of the victims, and refuses to honor in any way the murderer. I have my problems with him, but I do think he handles tragedies the best of the MSM.

Politics is ugly, no doubt! Like in sports, business, and other stuff, some humans are willing to go low to get an advantage. Shame this has gotta be this way and that's why I dislike giving the extreme elements from each party the main floor. Our Media wants to always show the few from each party folks acting a fool, and then tries to make it the whole. Really media, you empower these ideologues when you show them over and over and I think the media BS is fuel for these crazy ideologues within both parties.

Not sure how the crazed republicans would've acted if they lost this past election, but the crazed leftist have really shown the true colors after losing. Well, I suppose we can use how crazed republicans acted after Obama 2008/2012 wins, and I don't personally remember Obama/Hillary supporters being chased throughout USA the streets, business, colleges, etc... Do you? If this did happen, I'm willing to bet we'd all have seen these acts plenty times over. Now compare the media's reaction to extreme leftist, like antifa, they're out of control, violent, and a danger to many today. The media has covered them like they're hero's or something. How the media doesn't disavow them is unbelievable and this really shows how bias the media is concerning politics. We all should, no matter party affiliation, disavow this antifa violence like we do when other groups like isis, KKK, etc do the same. Well, all unwarranted violence shoudl always be spat upon no matter the offender. Suppose the social capabilities, the internet a lots us all, allows this poison to spread worse than it did 5-10 years ago. Who knows, this social tool could be fuel to the fire also. Regardless, to many folks, from political spectrum, are losing all control right now. Need to stop the rhetoric, especially some of the ideologues within media, and they'd be best served to remember that with great power some great responsibility...

You missed a hell of a football game last night. That last play had reverberations across the country. Both teams are for real. Good wholesome American entertainment from the heartland of the country.

We were watching the real estate show. My wife was watching and I was nominally paying attention while I was coaching my son with a new (to him) exercise program in an adjacent room in preparation for the up coming basketball season.

Agree. Since Katrina I cannot stand the way the media and politicians use tragedies to hype ratings and support for their side.

Obligatory "republicans do it too" esp when there are Muslim related attacks.

How is this different than any other day of fake news and corrupt politics?
