The one thing I'm certain with the Syrian situation is that nobody really knows what's going on. In Syria or behind the scenes at the White House or at the Kremlin.

Nobody knows what TRUMP'S strategy is because unlike Obama he's isn't telling everyone.

That's why I'm still waiting for more to happen before I make up my mind how I feel.

As it currently stands I still support Our President, My President~!

"Need to know" only!

Makes perfect sense to me.

Do what needs to be done to stay safe.

Setting aside the propriety of bombing Syria to begin with, I can't really criticize the administration's handling to date.

They've been as transparent as could be expected regarding the justifications for action, with a slight caveat for some confusing double speak coming from various places in the cabinet.

Now I don't think Trump can go on indefinitely without some overarching strategy for Syria that he at least vaguely conveys to the country, but for now it's fine.

No, you're not.

No matter what Trump does, you'll be there with an excuse for it. You Trumpophants have done the impossible - you've made Obamabots appear sane in comparison.

It's because Trump doesn't even know his own strategy.

One doesn't have to support every action a president makes to support him. If Trump does something worthy of praise, I'll praise him. If he does something I feel is worthy of negative comments, he'll get that too.

You obviously buy in to the Dem talking points.

His strategy is pretty clear, even though he hasn't Explicitly states it (which I'm fine with - the aura of unpredictability is powerful). No chemical weapons. Assad must transition out through political/diplomatic means.

Translation---When we say political/diplomatic, we mean you give us your f'ing country or else.

We see how well that has gone in Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. etc... Will work out just fine. These same dictators of the shia faction of Islam know how to deal with terrorists a LOT BETTER than we do. They are a necessary evil in that side of the world. And those ignorant peasants who wish Assad to go will have a world of hurt if he is ousted. Just ask their brothers in Iraq of that aftermath.

You haven't been paying attention. Trump wont use force to overthrow Assad ala Libya, Iraq, Ahfghanistan. He's been against it forever. The intent is To leverage the international community. Hence the wratcheted up pressure on Putin.

You might see a refugee safe zone at most which would require taking out air defenses.

How is Assad going to go without war? That is the situation I can't get around.

Russia isn't giving up Syria. If they do they might as well start building houses out of stone and reverting back to medieval times way of living cause their economy will be DEAD.

What we are wanting is outside the realm of possibility with Putin. He gives up Syria and they get that pipeline ran into Europe he will be a sitting duck. Ain't hattenin without war to oust him.
