Iraqi pilots who have joined Islamic State in Syria are training members of the group to fly in three captured fighter jets, a group monitoring the war said on Friday, saying it was the first time that the militant group had taken to the air.

Good for them. Dealing with planes would be the easiest thing for us/our allies to take care of.

It definitely would be easy for us to handle. Wonder what the point of them doing this is.

It would literally be like swatting mosquitos from the air. If there is one thing we do miles better than anyone else in the world, it's air superiority

They didn't call b.s. They said they weren't aware of this possible activity. The difference is in how confident in what we know and/or are willing to share.

If those planes have so much as been towed out of a hangar the Pentagon knows about it.

Or they know about it and just saying differently.

I would imagine those Mig's would be toast if they start flying sorties over the ME.

Personally I hope they get brave and start thinking they are Maverick and see what happens.

If they got them off the ground they would be blown out the air before they even knew it.

Good lord imagine vs an F-22. This is a non story.

Yup our ISR would already have known and had the targets identified.

Not to mention fueling them and keeping them airworthy. If this became a legit concern, we'd make swiss cheese out of any airfield they controlled.

I think ISIS hired Baghdad Bob to run their PR show

The biggest fear from them isn't an attack, cause they are sitting ducks if they stay up long. A directed kamakazee mission is more likely to be affective in this scenerio.

Shouldn't be anything to be afraid of B.c these jets won't get off the ground.
