Is the word "Plantation" being eliminated?

My parents live at "Reynolds Plantation" in Eatonton, GA, which has been renamed "Reynolds at Lake Oconee", because some people found the use of the word "Plantation" to be offensive, since it harkened back to the days of slavery.
Is there talk of changing the names of plantations in Louisiana and elsewhere? What do you think? Is this going too far?
Those SJW's are nothing, if not persistent, as shown by the removal of statues in Nola...

I don't know but because of this I am going to be using the word Plantation more in my daily conversations.
Snowflakes be damned...

Damn. You're right. I need to answer it instead of picking it up. I'm so naive...

They can name their property whatever they want, and if they buckle because a few people are retarded, that's on them.

It exists everywhere in the Ms Delta.
Then again you walk in restaurants here and you see old framed pictures of blacks picking cotton in front of a large antebellum mansion so this area is probably not a good gauge for the trends elsewhere

I'm guessing the neighborhood decided to do that on their own for PR reasons. No, the word plantation is not being eliminated.
My Aunt and Uncle live in a neighborhood called White Settlement. I'll let you know if it changes.

I think there's a neighborhood in Shreveport/Bossier called Plantation Trace. Not sure what the streets are named but I think Massuh Drive and Whipper Lane sound right.

I got married at a plantation in Louisiana. I wonder if I'm racist...

You shouldnt be allowed to be offended by something you have no direct connection to.
Even if so, you should still be told to frickoff if it's ridiculous
