It looks like the NYT tipped off the Scalise attacker back in april. Shortly after they published the congressional baseball practices weren't heavily guarded, the shooter moved to the area and cased the baseball field regularly.

Nah. The nyt is busy sponsoring a play in central park where the president gets assassinated. What a hoot!

Tell us how you feel about the "target" on gabby Gifford's district. Was that motivation for her shooter?

You don't need the NYT to show you where the soft targets are. Just go to your nearest gun free zone.

Julius Caesar by Shakespeare is a play about the wrongs of assassination.

That wasn't the point. Anything preceding that baseball field info could be a trigger. The guy could have been told to read everything by a specific writer for several months and then when a specific person or phrase is used (like the millionaire's name in that paragraph) then go to the place listed following the trigger.

The CIA has used this type of operational execution since its inception. It is old school.

Obviously, this guy was not trained well enough to be some sort of highly trained assassin but useful idiots serve a purpose too. They make great distractions.

I remember a time when people linking shite to the gateway pundit were ridiculed.

Time to return to those hallowed days.

quote:

Not that the play, in which the increasingly powerful Caesar is killed in the name of saving the republic, is pro-assassination. On this, most Shakespeare scholars agree. “I think the general drift of it is: Be careful, you might get what you want,” Mr. Greenblatt said, noting the chaos and bloodshed the assassination unleashes. “The very thing that you think you’re doing to protect the republic can lead to the end of the republic.” Leaders have been fascinated by the work.

George Washington saw a production of the drama in 1790. Nelson Mandela annotated a copy when he was imprisoned on Robben Island for fighting apartheid in South Africa.

From the very same NYT.

Exactly. I mean, if they wanted to stick it to Trump they could've used Wizard of Oz, a piece about the dangerous of populism and about the courage needed to challenge a seemingly omnipotent leader who in fact is a scared liar.

But no, they chose the same play that was used to make the same point about Obama.

Good stuff. The current one in NYC is a play that makes 200+ democrats simultaneously come to orgasam and gets a standing ovation, every time.

Murder porn, so edgy.
