You see this kind of behavior all the time. Woman gets beat up by their man....she calls 911 and police come and try to arrest him. She suddenly lashes out at police for trying to arrest her man. This is classic Stockholm syndrome where she shares the same opinions as a survival tactic.
I'm not saying Barrack abused Michelle. In her case she has tasted the "good life" with her man and hates to see his, and her legacy disappear into history.
