could you imagine what the democrat side of a split country would look like? everyone wanting handouts would go there, everyone not wanting their money taken would be on the other side.

where would they get their money?

Another way to unload New Orleans population off our arse too!

That would be better than the hurricane!

It wouldn't surprise me if one or two "big sky" states started talking about it sooner or later.

D.C. would never stand for it

We're headed for weird days ahead.

No, but it is possible for people to leave the country. We tolerated Bush for 8 years. You can tolerate Obama for 8 years (and it want be any worse than what Bush did for the U.S.).

Yes, via the inherent right of rebellion. But legally, no. The Supreme Court ruled in Texas v. White.

Just ask Todd Palin. He was a member of a party who wanted to do it. And citizens get free money since his wife taxes windfall oil profits and gives it to the people.

Several states will eventually form their own country.

When you think about it Vegas, no piece of paper or declaration of a ruler has survived forever.

The US won't either.

Perhaps this is the start of the end. Let's hope it is not already the end.

it is the beginning of the end of the evil one wins. i think he may very well get it the constitution, which he has little respect for by the way, changed to allow for more than 2 terms.

Yes. It is possible. If enough Mexicans move into your state to be a majority, they can just declare their independence. This is our government's official position. Don't believe it? Ask a Serbian.

Why not? The Union has already left the states.
