I think Bannon is picking the wrong fight here.

quote:

Top White House political strategist Steve Bannon may no longer be on the National Security Council, but he’s not backing down from his fights with his rivals in the Trump administration.

Axios’ Jonathan Swan reports that Bannon has been telling associates that he loves “a gun fight” and that he will continue fighting what he sees as the “globalist” wing of the White House, which includes Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner.

According to Swan’s sources, the Kushner faction believes that Bannon and his allies are “clinically nuts,” while Bannon’s team believes Kushner is trying to transform Trump into a moderate Republican “squish.”

Most interestingly, one of Bannon’s allies hints that Kushner will be the target of upcoming leaks that will damage his public reputation.
“Steve has developed strong and important relationships with some of the most powerful right leaning business leaders,” the Bannon ally told Swan. “I see some bad press in Jared's future"

The bad blood between Bannon and Kushner exploded into public view this week when Bannon ally Roger Stone publicly accused Kushner of leaking “fake news” to MSNBC morning show host Joe Scarborough. Stone said that Kushner could get away with leaking damaging info on Bannon to Scarborough because, as Trump’s son-in-law, he’s “the one presidential aide who cannot be fired.”

Terribly shitty poster. Don't care. Could be a great story.

Doesn't matter.

I missed that. I wouldn't have put much stock in infighting before getting to that part.

I wonder if we can get Chicken to write/install a script that just automatically downvotes anything Toddy posts?

Would save us all a bunch of clicks.

Yes it is. Someone has to call that liberal Kushner out for what he is, a neolib who will put Israels best interests ahead of Americas.

This is the kind of fighting we need in the Administration, it will surely help get things accomplished.

However, I agree that there are some in the Administration who could bring Trump more to the center, which I wouldn't like.

If he's leaking negative material to Scarborough, he needs to be called on it.

I don't like bannon. I don't know anything about Kushner

but bannon has the upper hand here. he got trump elected, his base is breitbart's readership.

bannon turns breitbart into an anti trump site, he'll look really stupid to other conservatives who don't like him or breitbart, but he'll hurt trump politically.

personally I take some delight in watching Frankenstein killed by his own monster, but bannon will have the last laugh because if he wants to write shite about trump from here to 2020, trump will lose.

The question is where Bannon would get a new proxy for 2020 or 2024.

I wouldn't call trump his proxy. trump used bannon to know what to say to conservatives (because he isn't one) but also to disaffected blue collar liberals (because bannon knows their language)

and bannon thought he could influence policy...whoops.

honestly if democrats would just shut up about fake Russian conspiracies and all the social justice nonsense and just let trump do his thing, they would probably help their 2020 chances a lot more because trump isn't going to be very popular with this board when 2020 rolls around, but if you remind them why they hate the alternative so much, they'll put on that MAGA hat and vote trump.

I mean both Bannon and Trump used each other. None of the other candidates would have given Bannon any access.

All right! A white supremacist vs a zionist, making America great again. I'm betting on the guy who is married to Trump's daughter/wife.
