Is Identity Politics the source of almost all evil in the 20th century and beyond?

This clearly won't go back to the feudal age or anything when people were simply serving kings, lords, and Gods, but really from 18th century onwards, with the possible exception of WWI, all the great evils of the world have been defined through identity politics. I think much of this can be traced back to Karl Marx and what his disciples went out and twisted his ideology to form it into their own.

Really think about it in how identity politics explains almost all the evil in the world for the past roughly 175 years. The KKK, the Communists, the Armenian Genocide, the Nazis, Stalin, Mao, Castro, the Japanese, Pol Pot, the OJ verdict, al-Quada, ISIS, Antifa, and the Alt Right.

When you target a collective rather than the individual as the West has, then you have almost without fail have destruction and evil and they always try to justify it. They use the collective mass numbers of individuals to support their identity politics. Even the spread of Islam has to do solely with spreading the ideology of Islam so they can have the same identity as themselves. You not having Muslim identity is all it takes for them to sleep soundly at night having killed you. If you are so focused on the identity of the collective, then you can do untold amount of damage to everyone without a care in the world.

That's what this riot last weekend showed me is that we need to fight identity politics whenever we come across it. It's a great evil in our world and we need to stand against it. The only attempt at it that wasn't totally morally flawed as far I can remember is the Civil Rights movement, but even that had long term negative effects among the positives.
