Never. We must continue paying for our high-stakes boy scout troupe, according to some posters here. We must develop discipline and honor while shooting people who have done no insult.

This isn't even world's police

Playing world's police here would simply be saying don't frick with us and don't Harbor people that frick with us or we will bomb the frick out of you

This isn't world's police. This is the military on a never-ending humanitarian mission that isn't all that humanitarian and won't improve a damn thing in a way that will be noticeable the day we leave

Nobody wants to be the world's police.

But that doesn't mean the world doesn't need policing...

It proves that the CIA and deep state run this country. It's clear we are still there for the poppy fields.

The Democrats were during Bush's years while Republicans supported it.

The Republicans were during Obama's years while the Democrats supported it.

Now we'll see who opposes it now. It already feels like the Democrats still support it, but that will probably change. The Republicans will probably support it because "Trump".

nope

The reason is sadder than that. I was there. My last position put me in a position to see a lot of the spending up close and personal

It is mind-boggling. Even when Congress passed legislation supposedly designed at curbing the spending the local contractors and Senior officers figured out how to game the system. I used the phrase figured out but I'll be frank. I think the system was designed to be gamed

I think the de system was designed to look like it attempted to control spending while it didn't control spending at all

There are people all over the world making money in Afghanistan. Even with the so-called Afghan first policy where Contracting is supposed to use Afghan contractors to do work it fails. Not that Afghan contractors know what the frick they're doing so I guess in a way it's not bad. But I can't tell you how many payments to Afghan first companies for some strange reason landed in Turkey Western European nations and for fun even Baton Rouge. I shite you not. I paid Afghan first contractors with money that landed in Baton Rouge.

Unless you can define what victory is and you have a time frame established to achieve that victory, you should never get involved.

The rest of the world knows that we won't annex any territory that we invade and they realize that there are some scary monsters out there that need to be taken down, like Lil Kim in NOKO and Mad Man Maduro in Venezuela. Even China recognizes our police role. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if we invaded Pyongyang for a day or two.
