You haven't experienced rural South Carolina(it is the source of the name Wrong Tiger Town Clemsuck) they really do believe that the civil rights era was not successful. I had a waitress at a restaurant inform me that the dishes of the monkeys were washed separately from the real peoples. My eyeballs almost popped out of their sockets with those words, and that was in 2003.

I'll see that and i will raise you the Delta.

I really don't care. I wont vote for it, but I wouldn't vote to ban it either.

I just think that with everything going on in this country like unemployment, a stagnant economy, financial ruin, intruding on personal freedom, a government that no longer answers to its people; the fact that we spend time debating whether gay people can get married is stupid. The government shouldn't be in the marriage business.

Yes it will happen.

Probably fairly quickly by judicial means. Eventually if via popular vote.

They should bow out now and switch everything to a recognized union/ contract between two parties.. Leave it up to the church to call it a marriage.. It allows for the distinction to be made by the people/church involved. Clear seperation of church and state..
Marriage is a human right, not a privilege to be delegated by the Church, who by no means invented the institution. The State stands to gain nothing by legitimizing any concerns anyone has with calling the social/legal/financial/personal union between two men or two women marriage.

It is. Just as a matter of law, I don't know how you can argue against it.

I'm really yearning for the day when the "everything is a human right" crowd decide that brand-new bass boat is a human right.

Oh .. and redefine the word "fat" while you are at it, please.

Yup in 5 Years.

And it will be great watching how it destroys "traditional" marriage.

(as in not at all)

It's already established in a third of the states that comprise half the population of the country. At the very least states will be forced to recognize marriages entered into in other states.

The Supreme Court has said numerous times that marriage is a basic human right protected by the Constitution. LINK /

So you don't believe in the will of the people or the electoral process at all. A decree from a single judge is your personal cup of tea if it provides the results that you desire, even if it is a majority vote from the Supremes it is a fiat manuveur.
