In what ways has the last 8 years under Obama benefited you or yours?

I didn't qualify to take advantage of the child credits or the first time home buyer credit.

I honestly can't think of 1 direct positive outcome - for me personally - of Obama's reign.

well my income over doubled from 2008 to now. I don't think obama had anything to do with that though.

Mine too...but that was because I made the effort to make myself more marketable in a more lucrative field. Obama didn't help this. Unless you consider the motivation of being laid off in 2009 as an Obama-induced benefit.

obama had nothing to do with you getting laid off in 2009.

But couldn't you say that about bush? what did bush give me? I got that $600 tax credit in 2001, and a few extra weeks of daylight savings. But that is about it. I saved a little bit in taxes.

What about clinton? Same.

The impact of a president's policies are largely over-rated. they don't really do that much shite.

the only people that will probably be helped by trump will be the very wealthy.

And the only ones that will be hurt will be women seeking an abortion.

My wife got to stay on her parents insurance throughout grad school. That was a pretty big help.

Mandated EMRs really helped me out professionally, but that was due to GWB.

I retired from FedGov and his mismanagement had a lot to do with that decision.

It was the best decision I've ever made.

The thread is about how Obama benefitted me in 8 years.

If the question was how did Obama frick mr over I could come up with a long list. A president can have a profound effect upon the people of America. To say otherwise is ignorant and not true.

I stayed on my parent's health insurance while in grad school.

Other than that, I don't think anything really changed.

Obama was an okay President to me. Not bad, not great.

Lolz

He didn't care about congress he went around them with EO's and luckily they can be wiped out soon.

Also, that do nothing congress caved in to Obama on many issues. That is why you have Trump in office.
