No republican should EVER lose Orange County, much less by 8 fricking points, more than 100,000 votes!

The Republican Party should not be losing suburban, upper middle class counties like this. Many historians consider Orange County to be the GOP stronghold of the west, maybe even the entire USA. The way trump lost it disheartens me, and makes me feel like the people I love around are ideologically separating themselves from me, when just 4 years ago this county loved Romney.

I understand it's tough to economically appeal to both working class whites and Rich suburban whites, but it's UNACCEPTABLE for a republican to do so poor here. It's unheard of. FDR was the last dem to win here.

Even Barry Goldwater won this county. I am not happy with its trajectory

You have reason to be concerned but as a candidate I doubt Trump will change it.

Don't underestimate the intelligence of orange country.

Say what you will, they can spot a con when they see one.

This isn't a one off. Orange County has been trending blue. I expect that it will be blue for most future presidential races or at least a toss up.

Girlfriends parents live in OC, they are MAGA as all get out. Their HOA fined them a shite ton on election night for celebrating "too excessively". Fireworks were shot, alcohol drank, and apparently cops were called by the snowflakes next door.

Man I wish I could have been out that way right after the election, the melt would have been glorious to witness firsthand

Hm. Yet they voted for the con. Who broke federal laws and makes corruption in Louisiana look like child's play.

California is lost for eternity so if you have a problem with it you should probably move.

The way the Dems took total control of the state in California is what they want for the federal government and it's fricking terrifying.

He didn't even campaign in California. He didn't need it to win in his estimation.

The numbers show that Romney was significantly stronger than Trump in the suburbs (remember, Romney got more actual votes than Trump) but Trump won overwhelmingly in more rural areas. Trump lost Fort Bend in Texas too.

If it was a normal Republican, they wouldn't have done as well in rural areas but they would have won places like Orange and Fort Bend.

It was a matter of time before Orange County fell.

It was a small dot of red surrounded by a sea of blue. You can only hold the fort so long
