I was wondering what you do for a living?
I'd prefer to not get too specific for the sake of anonymity but I work for a specialty contractor
I have experience in estimating, procurement, CPM scheduling, automation, database management, and electrical design.
Currently I use all of that experience to ensure that we satisfy the client's desires on time on budget and I'm responsible for making sure that we capture all the revenue for the work. That last part sounds simple but it might be the most complicated and rigorous part of the whole thing.
It's definitely a niche position. Someone with lesser skills could manage a lot of what I do on a smaller project but my value lies in being able to handle very large projects where data management skills are crucial. It takes some creativity and vision to get the data to behave in a useful manner at times.
