Illegals commit crimes at rates 'not substantially greater' than citizens

This was the talking point on NPR this morning.
They failed to mention how they define 'substantially greater'.
Just thought I'd share this with you folks.

Let us allow them to stay then. Am I right?

they literally start with a leg up on crimes committed on every citizen

So, 100% of citizens commit crimes comparable to violating the immigration law?
Oh wait, that's right, we're "deeming" that crime not a crime.
Well, then, murderers commit crimes at rates 'not substantially greater' than citizens then.
Man, I love solving problems.

We know how they define it. They compare the 11 million illegals to the other $300+ million US citizens. It's intellectually dishonest.

I would guess that 100% of illegals have committed a crime.

Setting the "not substantially greater" bullshite aside (which is an admission that they commit more crimes), it doesn't matter. THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY.
THEY HAVE TO GO BACK.
THEY HAVE TO GO BACK.

You want to know the rate of which illegals commit crimes.....100%. They are breaking the law by being in the country illegally.

How is this true? They're actively committing a crime just by being here.

100% of illegal aliens have committed a crime.
Posted on 4/3/17 at 10:18 am to Eli Goldfinger
The fact they have committed a crime by entering illegally would be substantially greater.

For instance, the chance of an American being murdered in a terrorist attack caused by a refugee is 1 in 3.64 billion per year while the chance of being murdered in an attack committed by an illegal immigrant is an astronomical 1 in 10.9 billion per year.
You're better off playing the lottery.

Yeah, but we can't deport regular criminals. Believe me, if it were an option, we'd go for it.

The simple fact they are here illegally means they start out in the red.
Posted on 4/3/17 at 10:24 am to Eli Goldfinger
I guess if you redefine the word "substantial"...
Posted on 4/3/17 at 10:25 am to Eli Goldfinger
Liberal logic completely ignoring the fact that whether its 1 or 1 million, it is a crime that WOULD NOT have been committed if the illegal were not her.

Where did these numbers come from? Can you link that study please?
There are roughly 330 million people in the US. If the odds of being killed by an illegal alien is 1 in 10.9 billion, that would mean that 1 US citizen is murdered by an illegal alien roughly every 33 years.
Maybe my shorthand math is the wrong approach here, but that conclusion seems virtually impossible. I need to see how they got to their conclusion. Please provide the source material and I will gladly eat crow if their methodology is sound

So was the rate higher? The same? What?

There is your answer right there. I gave the NPR podcast a try and man o' man they are biased AF.

Why does this even matter if they are here illegally? None of them should be here, and the ones that are breaking laws (whether 1 or 100,000) should be the first to go.
