The last 4 presidents have seen a negative political reaction to their actions regarding healthcare. Bill, W, Obama, and now trump invested political capital into healthcare and came up with ugly political backlash for the most part.

Hillarycare, Medicare part d, ACA, and AHCA all seemed to be albratrosses around the necks, especially the two latter. But hillarycare and PART d were bad as well

It is less risky to just sit there and watch from the stands than get personally involved in the debate and policy formation.

Me neither. I especially would just allow Obamacare collapse on itself.

Let the Dems live with their mess.

It would only be fitting to have it collapse and the Republicans come into try and clean up the Dems mess as they need a wet nurse.

You'd get negative results from that as well. The most optimal choice is pushing the best possible solution

Immigration first

Obamacare second

There is no reason to vote for Trump purely for the Obamacare repeal. Cruz, Rubio and all the rest would be better options if healthcare is all you cared about. They have been in Congress and understand that whole shite show much better.

Yeah, but remember when Bush tried to mess with the housing crisis, and Bwarnie told congress the Fannie/Freddie were doing great, and nothing was wrong...Guess who they blamed for not fixing it, and the Great Recession to follow...The left will blame Repubs anyway, and we are all screwed, anyway....Get Govt out, and free market is the only hope, but that's not happening...

Based on the latest Republican healthcare bill I disagree. I don't think they have any clue really

Why? Priority should be healthcare. That's something that effects everyone of us everyday (our wallets). Stop the Mexicans flooding in sure, but I'm much more concerned about the sky high price I'm paying for insurance than I am of Pedro hustling jobs outside Home Depot.

No, I'm saying repeal it and be done. The Feds should not be in control of insurance.

So you would sit idly by, while healthcare fell apart and tons of Americans suffered?

Because you wouldn't want a political blemish?

Good god, I understand saying it's not an issue for the executive branch. But it is an issue for Congress

No, government fricked it up even more. Why would you trust your insurance to the government?

do not even run for town council

you are more interested in how you look than getting anything done.
