80% was due to illegal guns and 20% due to legal guns.

Is it worth banning guns? Do you think 20 a day is an acceptable loss to legalize guns? If not, what is an acceptable loss?

No. There is no acceptable number of dead that justifies the removal of the means of the living to protect themselves from tyranny.

As long as we are dealing with the hypothetical:

Hypothetically, if you had not started this thread...I would not be replying to it.

What tyranny? Legal officers would have guns. If you don't trust the people you put into power, then why keep them in power?

I don't care if 1 million Americans die a day from illegal weapons, you arent banning me from owning weapons.

Think about it logically. If 1 million Americans a day were dying in traffic accidents, would you ban traffic?

What are the acceptable numbers on automobiles? Knives? Blunt instruments? Elective surgical procedures for aesthetic reasons?

You're not looking for a discussion. You're looking to capitalize on a tragic incident less than 6 hours after it happens to promote your stupid viewpoint and fears.

You're either 16 years old, or have your head so far up the DNC's arse that you can see what they had for lunch.

I'm not sure how you would go about proving this hypothetical, but the idea of 80% being from "illegal guns" would imply that the ban on that weapon type failed - so banning all guns would just make that ban be considered a failure anyway.

There's two points to make:

The Second Amendment does allow for us to defend ourselves against intruders and such, but it was designed so that we could defend ourselves if the government ever became tyrannical.

Two, there are, what, 300 million guns already out there? Even if we agreed that they were a problem, that is a logistically impossible number to combat by banning them all.
