I wonder how oppressed women feel

How do women in Africa, Asia and the Middle East feel when they see women that: can work, drive, go to college, get an abortion, marry a man or woman or no one at all, own a business, get justice if they are raped, can opt out of genital mutilation or breast-ironing, can file for divorce and, finally, walk in protest of everything and nothing...with their tits out... marching for gender equality in America?
I imagine some eyes are rolling behind those veils. We'll never know for sure, though, right? Because they can't show their faces.

That is truth. The left has literally become schizophrenic in its defense of islam

I'm sure some want all the freedoms American chicks have but they've only known being oppressed so I'm not sure most would know what to do with their new found freedom.

Maybe, but I really do wonder how they feel. Someone should bring some video to these shithole countries and get some reactions.

Let's face it, they protested because they don't like Trump. And they really, really, really want to kill their unborn babies.

Well he is literally Hitler. So they probably know that and are terrified that First World women may experience crippling chai shortages and other horrors.

When the left starts to try and change Islamic ideals and illegitimize the religion like they have Christians in this country, The Muslims will fight back and essentially bitch slap the left because they are not as tolerant as the Christians

I would guess that they're completely unaware of it as the truly oppressed women probably don't have much access to information

Is this yet another post about how no one should complain about anything as long as someone else in the world is worse off?
Can anyone in America ever be justified in complaining, protesting, or marching about anything?
Can anyone on this board ever be justified in complaining about taxes, erosion of liberty, or any fricking thing at all?

Sure.
I guess I just don't understand why they weren't protesting the dramatic fall of economic equality that occurred during the Obama admin. The US went from like 23rd to 45th and they didn't storm D.C.

There are lots of issues that deserve protests. In which order should they happen, in your opinion?

well it's hard to not respond with an argument related to privilege and status when the protesters arguments are so based on privilege and status. also the arguments themselves are just kind of weak, especially for such a large/emotional protest

i think protesting is pretty much always pointless these days, and i started saying that during the Tea Party stuff

Look, I honestly don't know what women are so upset about.
Feel free to tell me.

Jane: women in America deserve better.
Dick: oh yeah? What about women in the Middle East?
Dick is a dick here. He completely shat on Jane's point with nothing valuable to add to the conversation about American women.
Jane: Trump has signed a lot of weird executive orders really fast.
Dick: What about Obama? He signed a million silly executive orders.
Same thing. Dick isn't an adult who knows how to have adult conversations.

can we all agree that any woman wearing a pussy hat or holding an offensive sign was not marching for women around the world?

it's not scary. i just don't think it's constructive and opens your viewpoints up to marginalization. there are much more constructive, rational ways to proliferate your viewpoints, especially in the age of information

I agree. Dick should listen to Jane's grievances and evaluate them for merit.
I, Dick, have heard and considered the grievances. Some are valid. Rape and violence against women is bad. It's also already illegal and no one is pressing for decriminalization. Perhaps rapists who don't fear years in prison will fear shirtless women holding signs? Most are invalid, like the pay gap, which is easily explainable.
Now, I, Dick am wondering out loud how oppressed women feel seeing non-oppressed women march against their own oppression. I wonder if they feel a sense of hope and pride, or if they wish these entitled babies knew what actual oppression looked like.
