Only candidate that knocked on my door and asked for my vote.

Is that the only reason?

And just to reiterate, this does not shock me knowing him. He would go door to door.

Fun story. He was bringing me home from court and said he had to make a stop to see a client. He stopped on the side of the road, and went and got a pistol out his trunk, and put it in his briefcase. I'm looking at him funny, and he says it's not a safe neighborhood we are stopping at

To this day I think he was trying to make a point to me about getting my shite together.

I’m not in this district, but Carson is one of the best attorneys I know. Beyond that, he’s an upfront, straight forward, rock solid human being. The city court bench would be lucky to have him.

Seeing as turn out won't top 15%, I'd say 75% of those who voted voted for the candidate who went out and tried to talk to them.

Grassroots is what wins these small elections. Whoever knocks on the most doors typically wins.
