Why do you live in Manchester? Work? Wife? Traveling the world?

Work for now. Been here about 2 years. Its a great base to travel to Europe/abroad and way cheaper than London. The north of england is like the American south: friendly, prettier, better food, and cheaper. Manchester has been great to us.

Ha I meant like accepting of anyone regardless of race, sex, gender, etc. White guilt isn't a thing over here except in very small circles in the university (which no one takes seriously).

Ppl don't like to talk about religion period, so it never comes up. When it does, no one cares if you're a Christian but since I'm younger than 50 ppl are curious about me.

To give an update, local police said this:

quote:

Police have executed warrants, one in Whalley Range, and one in Fallowfield, where a controlled explosion took place, as part of the investigation into last night’s horrific attack at the Manchester arena."

Whalley range is a crime ridden area with largely working class or working poor residents. I have no idea what ethnicity is there. I've only been thru there once. Fallowfield is a largely student area, so that's surprising to say the least

Take a chill pill. If someone asking a relevant question on a message board rustles you this hard, maybe you shouldnt be here. Like for your blood pressures sake.

No, but he's involved in like a thousand different businesses here, so I'm sure I'll run into him at some point. Ha

OP, was there really a second bomb found last night? I heard the police did a controlled demolition. Later I heard this was fake news. Can you confirm?

Your comments are just tasteless. The OP is posting about children dying from a terrorist attack by ISIS and you're calling out people for being islamophobic on this board? You then try to double down and say it was a legitimate question which is also a stupid post, then you want to comment on the chairs in the arena not being up to standards? People died scumbag. Get your priorities straight.

Does Manchester have a Moslem ghetto?
Very good question. I remember hearing years ago that the police were afraid to go to muslim neighborhoods in London.

Not trying to derail the discussion, but how is the boxing scene in Manchester these days? I remember it used to be pretty big several years ago when I followed the sport closely, but I haven't kept up with it much the last few years..

Nobody gets their jimmies rustled when a legitimate question gets asked. Your question, however, was not legitimate. It was just you being a jackass.

I think I heard on the news that the second explosion was intentional and what the authorities blew up was not another bomb.

Does Manchester have the same anti-Thatcher, anti-London attitude that Liverpool has?

So when people die it's totally okay to attack the religion of the murderers? And when Seth Rich dies it's totally cool to make a big conspiracy theory about it?
