9/10 conservatives are willing to make some sort of compromise with the left, because we understand that's what politics really is.

But the left preached tolerance, when they are tolerant of nothing except what they want, when they want it.

We just got tired of people telling us what to do, and if we didn't get on board completely, we were immediately accused of being racist, misogynist, and a relic of the past.

Frankly, I don't care who you want to sleep with or what gender you want to identify with, but when you start telling me I'm wrong because I don't want to make alternative lifestyles the norm, or that I was the enemy from the start because I am a white male, I am going to do what any reasonable, self-respecting person is going to do: revolt.

So, for me, we've already won more than I ever thought we would be able to, and Trump hasn't even moved into the White House yet. Anything else is just going to be a cherry on top.

I agree that it's GREAT that Trump beat the Progs, the Libs, the Democrats and the eGOP. Most of all, Trump kept sociopathic Hillary from the WH.

BUT, POTUS Trump is not a pure conservative, SO, we have to allow him some leeway. The Leftist mass media is working hard to make him a one-term POTUS, so, let's not help Trump's enemies.

It was easily the greatest political upset in my lifetime.

I agree with everything you said, and I'll add that I have a little bit of a renewed faith in the "voice of the people".

I wanted Trump to win so bad - just to give the middle finger to the globalist libs, but honestly thought they'd find a way to steal it from Trump. Somehow, whether that was illegals voting, trying to suppress the vote by skewing the polls (which they did), or whatever.

Now that we have Trump, he better not just fall in line with the shitty republicans we have in office and actually carry out the change he campaigned on.
