I hated it when Obama was dong it left and right and I hate it now.

Even if I agree with an order the President shouldn't be able to essentially ignore checks and balances and separation of power. It's against the way the government should work

love the feeling of things getting done, but agree here

The ban seemed a little sloppy- not that congress wouldn't make a mess of it. I really want to see government work correctly.

hopefully this is just a kick start

He said he would do these things.

The country elected him.

The people are getting what they want.

These EOs are just markers. DJT well have Congress make laws out of them.

How much of it is undoing Obama EOs? Isn't that how you end previous executive orders?

He has only crossed the line with hedging the ACA, all others are reestablishing the law or specifically activating a law in his wheelhouse.

I'm not sure if right or left political extremist are the craziest but there is no doubt that the far right is a bigger collection of thin skinned assholes.

I completely agree, but I also think there is plenty of reason to overturn Obamas EO's with EO's. Ideally after this wave of EO's Trump will lay off of them and let the normal process take over.

I don't see it as a major issue to issue them right upon taking office to set the tone. If they continue through the presidency I will have a problem with it.

sure

but EO's that rescind prior EO's are still good

we can't just let old bad orders stand

I see the rationale here and hopefully that's just the case (though he's already issued new EOs)

Aren't most of his EO's actually backed up by law? The Mexican Wall was authorized in 2006; he just signed the order to start construction. Am I wrong?

Agreed. And these last few presidents have set the precedent to use the frick out of EO's. All around bad thing.

I don't like when Congress doesn't do shite for years. This is hopefully the kick in the butt they need to realize if they don't do their job, then DJT will.

Which executive orders do you not like?

Was he supposed to just go to Congress and say "hey guys can you pretty please remove and change Obamas EOs?"

Look how long it's taking fricking congress just to appoint his cabinet..

Everyone is freaking the f out when the man had this 100 day plan written half a year ago and now he delivering what he promised..

Why do you feel he ignored the checks and balances?

If Congress passes a law, are they ignoring the checks and balances?

No.... it's their job. What Trump did with these EOs is his job. All of it is under the executive branch.
