I am an athiest and I loved The President's speech

America is a country founded on Christianity. The majority of our citizens identify as some type of Christian. Christian teachings and morals are the guideposts that our founders intended to guide each generation of future Americans down the correct path. Yet we are so blessed to have freedom and liberty.
The freedom to pursue happiness in our lives by any legal means we so wish. The freedom to worship God, and the freedom to not worship any god.
We are the greatest nation that the world has ever seen.
Thank you Mr. President.
But most of all, thank you America.

And when the baby boomers die off, non-christians will out number Christians.
I didn't mind the speech but our country's morality will not be defined by Christian principles for much longer.

It seems many of the most vocal "athiests" are really just using that to hide their overt anti-religious hatred. Clearly not all... but some.

While I don't believe in religious dogmatism of any form, what WOULD guide us exactly? We have seen that the other option brings about LBGTQ bathroom laws and overzealous cries of racism.
