How much in taxes would make you take up arms?

Just curious. Is there a number? Or have we been beaten down to accept any number? 50%? 90%?

The fact that Washington gets their portion of your money before you get your portion is also sick. You cant even refuse.

I'd love to see all you internet badasses actually do something beyond your daily bitching on a football website in the Bible Belt

@ 35% already and it sickens me.

I'd say 50-60% would be a good motivator for most.

Many of the wealthiest already pay this and I don't see them taking up arms.

You mean like the bitching about the art endowment? Like actually donating to the arts personally instead of whining about it being cut from our taxes?

That kind of "do something"?

Shut up hypocrite.

Im confused. Thats the whole point of my post. How much flips the switch from internet badass to rebel?

Are you claiming there is not tipping point?

They have to finish taking away our ability to defend ourselves before they can raise taxes that high.

It's all in relation to income.

What makes you think taxes are going to be raised to 50-60% for someone making...let's say $50,000 a year? If anyone proposed that it would be Trump to pay for tax breaks to the rich.

Operative word is wealthiest. Try pulling in 30k and having 50-60% go to Uncle Sam and then see.

What are you talking about?

I'm saying someone making 100 mill a year is not going to take up arms if you take 50%. Now if someone is make 35k then that is different.

Nobody on this board (maybe at most 5, maybe) pay 35% of their income to the gov.

Do they? I thought the latest tax releases showed trump paying 25% and others less than that. Also the rich don't take up arms, they pay people to do that.

I don't like taxes. That being said taxes are a fact of life and we fought a revolution based on the premises of no taxation without representation. As long as the taxes were voted on and passed under the rules by Congress I won't take up arms against the government .....might protest, might bitch, but so long as there is representation , it's hypocritical to forcefully resist.

Take away the 2nd Amendment that is different same with the 4th Amendment and especially the 1st.

So long as people have food in the refrigerator, drink in the cabinet, heat, A/C, fuel, running water, clean cloths, bet Cetera, there will be no taking up of arms.

Unless the gov't starts rounding up large numbers of citizens and arms.

Wrong. Plenty people do.

25% tax bracket plus 10% sales tax plus 1-2% property tax
Drivers license renewals
Vehicle inspection stickers
Vehicle registrations
Gas tax
Taxes on corporations before they even sell the product just for making the product.

You are ignorant if you don't think 35% tax isn't happening.
