I was here before(2004) as a Soldier. That is not the capacity I'm here now in.

To the original question though, I was opposed to the war to begin with. Not that I didnt want to get the responsible parties. I did want to get them. But going to war in the middle east is like getting stuck in quick sand: the more you fight, the more it sucks you in. Plus, there is nothing we can really do to stabilize this area. It is something that the people there have to do. We cannot impose it upon them. If they want order, then they have to make it happen. Also, other major countries, ie russia, have tried to do the same thing in the past with abysmal results. Why should we expect any different. Lastly, I think the best way to stabilize any area would be to allow business and industry in to set up a steady flow of jobs and goods for purchase.
And another big challenge this area of the world faces is that there is not enough suitable land for agriculture to produce enough food to sustain there own population. (I might be wrong about that last point, it's just what i've heard)
