Let's all talk about how the strike in Syria benefitted us as Americans.

I'll start: I own Lockheed Martin stock. Does that make me a war profiteer?

When did that happen? Does telling the enemy to move targets before they are struck by cruise missles qualify as "struck"?

So you're saying that the planes, buildings and fuel depots, the intended targets, were moved 30 minutes before the strike? I'd like to have seen that.

Anyone still fapping over the Syria bombing needs to up their game; this wasn't a huge military victory

Doesn't appear to be WWIII either.

Most people think it was an airfield hit to let them know we can put a electrical poll with 3k lbs of explosives through your window.

What's your point?

I was unaware that we did a strike against Syria to improve my life. Interesting.

How does my life improve with Affirmative Action?
Welfare?
Medicaid?
Abortion?
Higher taxes?

I am trying to figure out how any of those issues improve my life, since apparently every move made in Washington is designed to improve my life.

(BTW, I could go on and on with policy decisions made in Washington that does nothing to improve my life. Does that mean they should not be done?)

IMO it was huge for Trump. There's been less ridiculous domestic hysteria in the last week or two. I also think it will help bring the Republicans together to pass a healthcare bill in the House.

Well, aside from money, the melts have been pleasing.

I get to be entertained by hysterical threads about conspiracies and the pending end of the world on this board.

I don't keep up with individual posters too much except for a couple of the real assholes so I don't remember what you were saying last week. I was speaking more of the collective.

Last week it was "Oh my God WWIII."

Now it is trending toward "Oh that wasn't a big deal anyway."

The Syria strike hasn't improved my life at all. In fact the federal government is a net drain on my life. I pay way too much taxes. I'd love to spend that money or not on what I want instead of the federal government spending my money on what they want.

Odd suitability test.

How was your life improved when we took out bin Laden?

Had you said, "Has your life improved yes or no?" then you might get a better range of answers. All any of us can do at this point is to wonder if the government really means to bear bait the Russians into a real conflict over something we should be leaving strictly alone.

It seems so plain to me that the purpose of the exercise is to wreck and destabilize Syria for Israel the same way we wrecked and destabilized Iraq for them.

Which might cost us many thousands of dead, and trillions of dollars down the toilet for nothing - again.
