Does anyone have a realistic way that consumers can boycott MTV that will impact them financially?

My Mooselimb owned restaurant ban has been in place for about 9 months now and has even expanded to include any and all businesses owned or operated by any member of the religion of peace.

But I am drawing a blank trying to figure out how to put MTV on my ShitList...how can I and others impact that company financially?

I would recommend turning off the TV and reading a book.

Viacom owns MTV.

Viacom's #1 show, by far, is South Park.

I'm sure they are economically and socially floundering in your absence.

There are three ways though I doubt anyone will do them because they are a pain in the butt.

1. Write or call your cable company and ask for MTV to be moved to the highest tier (don't ask them to remove it alltogether, they won't do that). Please realize that because MTV is part of a larger company that includes a lot of other channels, the chances of this happening are close to zero.

2. Write down all the advertisers on the channel.

3. Find the Marketing Directors of those advertisers at the corporate level. (This is VERY tough to do, they don't give that info out because they try to avoid being bombarded by sales calls). There are companies that will sell you the info but it will be for around 200 dollars per company name.

So let's say they have 30 regular advertisers. You need to spend 6000 dollars to get the phones of their marketing heavies and then publish this on social media along with a website or cause related site explaining the reason for this action.

"The society to prevent lousy television" or something.

Make the website, then contact the marketers and draw their attention to it.

It is better to have some action there too - like a message board. Something that keeps the site alive so to speak just like these boards do here.

Then talk to a PR company about getting some press in some papers and magazines. You can make it a right-wing orientated PR company that gets you into more of the Breitbart realm.

That's how you do it.

Start another network that focuses on slutty mid 20s women with fake breasts doing a bunch of stupid challenges for teenage boys to watch after school when not playing video games.

Also include programming that appeals to trashy teenage girls that don't feel like using birth control or having sex responsibly

Wow. I just realized that have been boycotting (ie not watching) MTV for over 20 years now and they are still around.

Let me know if you have any success and I will do what you do.
