How bout we grant legal status to all

illegals who are in the country under one condition. You must serve in the military (with NO restrictions, protest, religious, or conscious objectors) for 4 years. If they have a spouse and children with them, they may live on base with them while they serve.

That would legalize tens of millions of democratic voters. Short sighted view.
If Trump comes out in a few years and offers a pathway to citizenship IF they vote for him, then maybe.

I would not require the military service. I would say any employed, have health insurance and paying income tax should be allowed to stay.

Who said they would all be democrats? A legal way to become a citizen? And their slate wiped clean by signing up? They won't be afraid anymore, or their families. They may say why didn't THE DEMS DO THIS FOR US? I think it would increase the red base more than the blue base. And I guarantee it will cost the blues more than the reds.
