dims want as many new voters as possible and they sway them with lots of gubment freebies.

They want constant chaos so folks have to depend on the gubment for everything. Once they accomplish this the game is over.

The part that stands out to me in that quote -

quote:

he may by proclamation

These guys were the solons of our government, not the asswipes we have nowadays.

They dgaf about law and order. They will oppose any and all Trump actions, no matter what they are. It's pure partisanship.

I mean, the law is crystal clear. It's kind of sad that actual judges could read that and still say the President doesn't have this authority.

Subsection 1152 of the same Title, chapter and subchapter..

"(a) Per country level
(1) Nondiscrimination
(A) Except as specifically provided in paragraph (2) and in sections 1101(a)(27), 1151(b)(2)(A)(i), and 1153 of this title, no person shall receive any preference or priority or be discriminated against in the issuance of an immigrant visa because of the person’s race, sex, nationality, place of birth, or place of residence."

Apparently the original, as the OP posted, was amended 9 years after enactment to prevent immigration discrimination based on nationality....

Judge Jeanine nailed this, citing this very code last night.

Chapter 2

1151

1153

1101 27

Admittedly I haven't read them chapter and verse but they seem to be more about who can immigrate instead of who can't...

They want there to be terrorism in America. Probably think they can use it as a pretext to ban guns.

On a sort of related topic I read these things all day long and they are generally easy to follow with a little bit of common sense...they are written at about a 6th grade level for some reason....much easier to understand than engineering codes and standards written at a much higher level...yet so many people who frick with these things everyday get so confused it is staggering....I find the same thing with tax returns...I stopped paying others to do them years ago when I found I could answer questions faster and more accurately simply by reading the damned instructions...

All that being said why can't a President simply issue an EO suspending or eliminating the CFR language that makes their EO suspect? Not this time around but someday, if that is possible, our nation is more of a house of cards than anyone would like to admit....

I wasn't really aware of EO until W did one that was highly publicized...but no matter your party affiliation this is something we need to reign in going forward.....not now because it wouldn't be fair to Trump and his administration but we really need to work on limiting what future presidents can do by EO or we are going to find ourselves in an untenable situation someday....

(f) is stand alone and operates separately.

That amendment predated Carter's Iranian order and Obama's Iraqi order, with not a peep.

Themselves

Or do you not think they could get a new job tomorrow?

When gov takes over healthcare, when government takes over utilities through green agendas, when the gov increases recipients of welfare, when the gov takes your guns, then you are on pace for more government reliance by your population.
Make no mistake, Big Gov advocates will take control of every single thing you allow them to. The more you need from them, the less likely you are to get rid of them

I speed every day of my life and only get a ticket every couple of years...I don't whine about the times I don't get a ticket.....if the Carter and Iraqi orders were illegal but not challenged I don't know what to tell you...Trump's has been....

No, dumbass...

They weren't challenged because they were legal, just like this one is.
