37 years here and no. We could cut government in half and this bad boy would run itself. Same thing with the company anybody works for. Most are top heavy and would run just fine if you trimmed the fat.
I'm sure we can think of a multitude of diverse ways government intervention can prevent future school massacres. The NRA recommended putting an armed official at schools. Connecticut just passed really strict gun laws in response to the shooting. I know this, 20 children died in that school house that the government was operating. Seems like the government's responsibility to make sure that doesn't happen again.

These are 2 very different ways of dealing with the situation. Security guards at a school I see no problem with, and can be labeled as no gov intervention at all. Passing laws that affect a whole state because of one freak incident can be seen as the gov overstepping it's boundaries.
