Not to get personal and you have discussed earlier but why do you go to bed so early? What time to you get up in the morning?

ETA: I think it makes sense to be skeptical of extreme or adamant positions on either side of the issue. However, I do think it's an issue that warrants serious study. I also think . . . one day . . . we'll probably be better off moving away from carbon fuels.

I agree with this. It would be foolish to think that all of the junk we have put into the atmosphere over the years hasn't caused some damage. At this point though, getting a true picture of the problem and a reasonable altruistic approach to abatement is all but impossible.

I do as well. I have no doubt we're not doing the earth good by our presence and limiting our footprint as much as possible is prudent. I'm sick of the climate change evangelists though, they've been wrong on predictions more than they've been right.

It's very weird in my house. My wife works at the hospital 7 on and 7 off and has the hours of Dracula. She goes to bed at 1pm on her week off and wakes up at midnight. She goes to bed at 9 am on her work week and wakes up at 5 pm.

My dogs (inside dogs) have gotten use to the confusion and they must must be let out and fed. The only remedy to the problem is me getting up at 4 a.m. every day. That requires going to bed at 7 p.m.

I don't mind. I've always been a morning person and I'm not interested in TV. The only exception is a college FB game that I really want to see but can't stay up because it's on the west coast.

In the whole scope of global time 100 years is not all that much more relevant a sample than 1 year, of course.

Long time ago, I had to do that and my wife worked crazy shifts too. My body never got used to working nights. I don't envy you

This thread is starting to get too friendly. Please resume the petty bickering so I can have something to entertain me once I get out of my movie.

Yeah, we've known for a while that the Earth goes through climate shifts. However this particular climate shift is warming much, much faster than previous ones. We know this from the arctic ice drilling and probably other techniques I don't understand

I love the oscillating chart. Only complete dolts try to use linear trending on a cyclic function.

Especially when it's used to compare against proxies with even lower resolution.

It wasn't an analogy. It was a fact.

Keep reading the thread if you want more recent examples of scientists being wrong with their "facts."

There's no denying that from time to time scientists get it wrong and have to revise their theories. Who would deny that? However, it's still pretty rare. You seem to be jaded against all of the scientific community for some reason or another
