Harry Turtledove's Alternate History Books...

Have any of you read them? If I remember correctly, they begin in the late 1800's and continue until the end of World War II. They assume a Confederate victory in the Civil War.

They're fairly well written, but the real draw is the story itself. Things develop in both expected and unexpected ways.

I've read pretty much the entire series, probably a dozen or more books, through the alien conquerors in the future. A lot of the characters appear in multiple books. You can drive yourself crazy trying to read them in order so just go with the flow. Each one stands on its own. The EBR Parish library has all of his books.

I've read the Civil War ones. Purely speculative of course but entertaining.
