Asked Saturday night after a 28-10 win over Purdue if he agrees with President Donald Trump's suggestion that NFL owners "fire" any player seen protesting the national anthem, Harbaugh's answer was quick:
"No, I don't agree with the president," Harbaugh said. "That's ridiculous.

"Check the Constitution."

Can't wait for that guy at Google to sue them for violating his Constitutional rights!

Oh wait, he has no case because an employer is allowed to fire their employers for speech they disapprove of? Interesting.

You can fire people who say or do stupid shite.

Just depends on how you define stupid shite. I'm willing to let the market influence what employers and owners do.

So where is it in the Constitution that makes Mr. Harbaugh think having freedom of speech means you can't be fired for conduct that is detrimental to your company?

OP is a double digit IQ drop out. I don't think constitutional law or even just basic civics/government was on his 1 semester itinerary at GT. You'll need to contact mr harbaugh directly.

Did you just change your stance from saying that it is unconstitutional to require that your players stand for the National Anthem to you are willing to let market forces determine the outcome?

Good.

Already addressed that. Owners/employers can choose when to fire someone.

I've always said players should do what they want, and owners can and should fire them if they don't like it, barring whatever contracts allow or don't allow for.

A neutral position that means nothing. No one is questioning their right to take stupid stances. We are saying that if you have a public job, you may want to watch your mouth.

I'm confused on if this is directed towards the players or trump.

I'm sure you are. Whose jobs are more immediately reliant on the public, do you think?

Let the players join hands pregame at midfield and pray to God for the safety of the participants and watch how fast they stop that. The NFL shut Tim Tebow and his eyeblack Bible verses down and did it quick.

Harbaugh is wrong. The owners could stop it any time they wish. I will be interested in the Dallas Cowboys for example because Jerry Jones warned his players already , do this and you will be fired.

I missed the part where Trump violated the constitution with his comments saying that players should be fired if they disrespect the american flag/anthem.

Keep up the strawmaning you bastards. You're already overplaying your hands.

The first amendment protects private citizens from government impeding their speech.

I'd think incorporation would defend them against that.

Either way, Trump is an idiot and, again, there's a tweet for it.

1. Harbaugh is a cuck who has disliked trump for 2 years

2. Harbaughs living is recruiting 16 and 17 years old black kids - what side do you really think he'd take
