So that was fun. 30% increase in premiums, double the out of pocket expenses.

So everyone in the company pays more for less!

Same plan as before which is pretty much full coverage (I have a family with two kids).

The best part of the meeting were the known Democrats reactions. They were like (seriously)

I knew what was coming. I just snickered.

Bill Nelson should be VERY happy he's not up for re-election this year. He won with 55% last time and that was before this mess.

To make matters worse (for democrats) is that because we use ADP, our cost increases weren't nearly as bad as any company that buys their own coverage.

Man this election year is going to be fun.

Elections have consequences!

But you employer will save 3000% on healthcare cost and that equates to raises for everyone.

LIAR

Even if you're not, you can't prove these increases are due to Obamacare, your premiums were going up beforehand!

Even if he's not lying, he's at least contradicted himself - probably for hyperbolic effect:

So are they getting "less" or is it the "same plan"? I'm not seeing how it can be "less" [than before] and the "same plan" as before at the same time.

Yeah, our company is very proactive with personnel costs and generally forward looking in many of our compensation changes. My 2014 premiums went up 26% and my deductible increased by 50%. This is for the most expensive plan my company offers.

3000% on healthcare

I forgot to mention that they are paying WAY more than before. They kept the cost as low as possible for us.

I really do work for a great company.

I read it as everything was the same except double the out of pocket expenses.

If he is paying more in premiums, but his deductible is going up, then he is paying more for less....

You're linking two completely seperate statements. The "more for less" comment was about the statement below

So he's paying more in premiums for less coverage. Even if it's the same plan there is less coverage because he has to pay more in out-of-pocket expenses.

It's like you guys don't think logically or something.

All coverages the plan is the same except two things: Cost, my out of pocket expenses.

I mistyped that now that I think of it. We pay more, insurance company pays less. By directive of the ACA.

You read correctly. Although I should have made that distinction more clearly. I overestimated the intelligence level here.

"So everyone in the company pays more for less!"

Are you really making this about semantics? Your deflection is noted.

Do you have anything else to add?

good lord. It's worse than before no matter how you spin it. What caused his cost to go up 30%?
