numb to the stupidity in the senate.

Yep I doubt the GOP, in particular with the razor thin majority will ever have enough votes cobbled together with their cadre of Senators to defeat the Kool-ade drinkers on the left side of the aisle.

This. The swamp is stewing in its juice. The only way to truly drain it is for each state to change the status quo and vote out the lifers and career politicians in favor of younger and more change-minded individuals.

A Washington filled with bright young minds will be more in the pocket of lobbyists. No one wants to go to a doctor that hasn't been to med school but so many people think any businessman or private Joe can be a representative or senator. It makes no sense. Politics isn't as simple as the layman thinks.

Not only cruz, murkowski, paul and Collins opposed.
The house bill was different.
House would have been asked to approve as is. No way.

Politics is not as simple as trump thought.
He already threatened to primary house members and he had to pretend he was "only kidding".

They never had the votes. None of these so called repeals would have ever repealed it.

Need 60 votes to repeal unless they wish to kill the filibuster rule.
