That was a different report. This is the report of the house select committee that said the first report wasn't good enough. This one was controlled by Republicans.

Yeah, this is so wrong. They knew who the guys were on day one of the attacks. Rice's lies were multiple days later, as was Obama's Speech to the UN. I have no doubt they knowingly lied, and will probably get away with it. Stall and create another scandal/crisis....just WOW!!!Oh, Hilliary is neck deep in this one, so much that she quit, had a stroke she miraculously recovered from.....C'mon....

The State Dept. willfully deceived the electorate regarding the nature of the assault and the assailants. They did this on the eve of an election with the clear intent if bolstering Obama:s talking point of having AQ in the run. So it depends in what your definition of "cover up" is.
And whatever happened to the little guy who made the dumbass video? Still being held with no bond in some secret location?

Good try SP,
You forgot everyone on this board is a maroon who has already decided their opinion is fact.
LOL.

Do you see how this statement is ironic?
Or is that fat pile of smugness blocking your vision

So total incompetence it is then. Not surprising this adminstration could wreck a self driving car

Pretty much
I was initially skeptical, but at this point raw incompetence seems more likely than complex cover up. I see no reason to give this administration that much intellectual credit.

So the republicans must be objective and only looking for truth.
This is what it has to mean right Dems?

It was a combination of incompetence and initial panic, which led to a mild cover up (really just political dishonesty). It came to light too quickly to be a real cover up, and the truth wasn't that damning.

Kind of a shame to waste my 10,000th post putting into focus something that the OP clearly does not comprehend.
First let me make perfectly clear that this board has been informed repeatedly by me that the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence had concluded 10 months ago that there was no stand-down order regarding the 7-man team that went to the Temporary Mission Facility to rescue the 5 DS agents and recover the body of Sean Smith. Ten long months I have been posting that information on here, including reinforcing it in the Rex thread referenced below, so there is no news whatsoever in :
The report released today, which was first discussed by Democrats on the committee back on July 31st, does NOT in any way address the subject of an alleged coverup of any kind. Clearly, the OP has not even bothered to read the report, but has relied on headlines in websites like Slate.
This report has almost nothing new in it, other than some new differences in small details from previous House and Senate Benghazi reports, as well as the ARB report. Like all the other reports, this one IS highly critical of the State Department, despite its primary mission statement being the role of the Intelligence community.
It leaves open, beyond a doubt, the need for the Select House Committee on Benghazi to continue its work and to write a comprehensive Benghazi report. NONE, I repeat NONE, of the previous Benghazi final reports was even intended to be comprehensive in nature, but rather limited to each committee's jurisdictional area of investigation. The closest thing to anything comprehensive would have been the Oversight Committee's final report, which never came because its work was halted by the May appointment of the Select Committee.
Again, like the Senate report of last January, this is a report on the role of the intelligence community in the events in Benghazi. It touches briefly on the roles of the military and the State Dept., but only to explain the limitations of the intelligence community in effectively dealing with the events of Sept. 11, 2012.
Don't try to make it something that it's not.
(And, oh yeah, it only took me 11 years and one day to reach the 10,000 post mark.)
