"We have informed The Daily Stormer that they have 24 hours to move the domain to another provider, as they have violated our terms of service. If no action is taken after 24 hours, we will cancel the service," GoDaddy spokesman Dan Race told CNN in a statement.
"Given their latest article comes on the immediate heels of a violent act, we believe this type of article could incite additional violence, which violates our terms of service."
An article posted on the Daily Stormer called Heyer "fat and a drain on society."
"Despite feigned outrage by the media, most people are glad she is dead, as she is the definition of uselessness," the story said. "A 32-year-old woman without children is a burden on society and has no value."

I saw some twitter stuff yesterday to pressure godaddy to remove them. SO not surprised.
It is pretty easy to find a ToS violation.

These people are insane. How is a gainfully employed woman who hasn't reproduced a "burden on society?"

Private business and that's their right, but it's a disturbing action.
I'm sure I could find some really disgusting site that they host with no issues.
I'm shocked a web hosting site would succumb to that kind of pressure.

I see stuff like this posted all the time, and it represents a gross misunderstanding of basic business models.
It has very little to do with the content in question, it's about what content is going to negatively impact their bottom line. Nobody cares if they host pornography, but society has made it clear Nazi/fascist sentiment won't be tolerated. The potential negative impact of hosting such a site in this climate is huge and bad for business.
Again, this isn't about the moral merits of the site and is content. It's about making money.

here is something that i don't fully get
why do we attach "the state" to civil litigation related to the 1st Amendment (namely, press) but we don't here?
i'm more against using it in the civil context entirely than attacking GoDaddy
this is b/c i watched that "Nobody Speak" documentary
