I used to be able to file an LLC is five minutes or so. Now, you have to register with GeauxBiz, reserve your name first (because they demand an Employer Identification Number even though a "disregarded entity" single member LLC doesn't have to have one),and that's as far as I went.
I just registered it as a Texas LLC.
Why the hell do government agencies take something that is fairly easy and then make it unnecessarily complex.

Agreed. I wonder how much was spent to make the llc registration more difficult.

I agree completely. Another username and pass I have to remember to use once a year. God help the computer illiterate.
