Seems like there's been almost no variation in numbers for the top two spots for a long while. It's weird.

Naw baw, naw. Bad polling and terrorism will lead to a LePen win and liberal meltdown that rivals Chernobyl.

I kinda wanna see Le Pen win so I can justify my hatred of France.

What do you like best about Islam?

Polls said Brexit would not happen.
Polls said Trump would not happen.
Common sense is becoming cool again. She will win.

Could you explain the common sense behind Le Pen?
I'll bump my guide for you.

She's the right choice as far as the Muslim and crime issue goes.
But doesn't she want to raise taxes and nationalize a good chunk of industry including banking? Sounds more Bernie Sanders than MAGA.

There is literally one issue that is going to determine the future of France. They are being invaded like the rest of Europe. If they don't wake up, they are going to lose any sense of culture they have.

Agreed. The terrorism plays right into La Pen and we all know the polling is flawed. Interesting thought, since I'm questioning almost everything now, what are the odds French intelligence in some manner allowed or maybe fostered this attack to sway the voters for La Pen? The how or why of course I have no clue. Maybe they're as tired of the Muslims as most of the French are.

I'm hoping that the French ppl eill eisen up and put both LePen & Fillon in the runoff. Macron and the rest of the socialists in Europe need to go away ASAP.

Go look at the charts on Stefan Molyneux's twitter timeline. France is absolutely screwed, and Tn Bhoy will be cheering it on as it goes full on Sharia, I guess.

Move to Sint Martin for a month and deal with French ppl on a day to day basis, and your hate will be justified regardless if who wins.

Mélenchon: 19%
Does he have a legit chance of finishing 2nd?

I know that "far right" has a "different meaning" there, but it's still carries inherent negative connotations that they would never apply to the left.
Corbyn is way more "far left" than Wilders or Le Pen are "far right" for example.
Anyway, I think that Europe is more or less waking up to things, but we've still not seen a liberal Western European nation elect a "far right" leader and I feel that's one additional hurdle that Le Pen, Wilders, etc. would have to overcome.

The other concern about this poll is that Hamon is another left-winger who has plummeted from serious candidate to an afterthought at this point, yet he's still polling at 8%.
As we saw with Johnson and Sexy Jill Stein (that chin, those clavicles... sigh) - Hamon will almost certainly receive only a fraction of that 8% on Sunday.
Logic says that the lion's share of his extra 5% will go to Melenchon - hypothetically propelling him into a top 2 slot.
But at whose expense? It would be a dream for Patriots the world over if Melenchon surpasses Macron and then Le Pen would have a fighting chance against a far leftie in the runoff.
But equally (perhaps more) likely is that Melenchon could edge out Le Pen (don't forget about the potential for leftist fraud against our heroine) for second.
It's going to be fascinating, mates. Let's hope for rain in Paris and clear skies in the rural towns and villages, as we had with Brexit.
Vive Le Pen! Vive la France! Vive Pepe! Stop Islam!

Absolutement. I'm worried he'll bump Le Pen.
My guess about chances of making runoff (finishing 1st or second) are this:
Le Pen 70%
Macron 70%
Melenchon 40%
Fillon 20%
A lot of people would say that I'm vastly understating Fillon's chances, but his support is what it is. He's going to get none of Hamon's fleeing vote (Melenchon will get most, Macron will get some) and he won't get a "silent boost" that we're hoping Le Pen gets.
So I think the cluster will break out like
Le Pen 26%
Macron 24,2%
Melenchon 24,0%
Fillon 23,5%
Hamon 2,3%
Others: nil
If Le Pen breaks 30% than her silent vote is real and legit and she can definitely win.
If she's down under 25% and facing anyone but Melenchon in the runoff she's got no chance in the runoff IMO b/c her adding votes is going to be very tough (barring another Muslim attack)
Dream scenario would be Le Pen near 30% with Melenchon edging out 2nd place. I'd say her chances of beating him in that scenario would be over 50%.
