“In this instance, eight small convenience stores in South Florida committed a staggering amount of fraud in a relatively short amount of time,” said Karen Citizen-Wilcox, special agent in charge, U.S. Department of Agriculture-Office of the Inspector General, in a release. “These retailers created an illegal benefits exchange system that defrauded the American taxpayer and denied healthy foods to needy children and their families. The store owners who allegedly orchestrated this trafficking scheme pocketed millions in ‘fees’ which they charged for converting food assistance benefits into cash.”

Well, I can tell you that there are 2 Muslim C-stores here that sell Beer and cigarettes for EBT Card Food Stamps everyday. My customers tell me about it and ask if I will. I say no, of course. I went there to look, for the fun of it and saw how they did it. They set a food item for the same price of beer next to it and if they get caught,they just say they made a mistake and scanned the wrong item next to it. Sorry,just a mistake. He drives a Cadillac Escalade and I drive a Ford Crown Vic.

Turn him in, they will run a sting operation and nail his arse, and you will get a portion as a reward.
I personally don't believe convenience stores should be allowed to accept SNAP. The government shouldn't be paying $8 a gallon for milk , take your arse to the grocery store where things are cheaper.

No suprise here. Have witnessed several stores mark up cigs and alcohol for using EBT. Also watched them sell cold food on EBT and cook it for them in the store for mark up...wings, sandwhiches, hamburgers etc.
