I've got a feeling about this week. So who is your money on for the first mayor?

Browning? Yates? Edwin Edwards? Michelle Obama?

I bet if they paid Kip enough money and gave him enough young white girls to be mayor, he would tell us all of the evils of the EBRPSS and how STG needs to break off.

Have they even turned in the required signatures to get it on the ballot yet?

Nope. According to local experts, if they don't have them by now they never will.

I like that pick. He's got the offense/defense strategies down, but his clock management scares me!

Nothing in this country will ever improve so long as people continue to push the victim/racism card against anyone trying to make a change.

You have folks all over the parish who try and educate their children the best way they can.

People in Baker, Zachary, and Central formed their own school system. Parents of magnet and gifted children put their kids in magnet schools or in gifted programs. Blacks and others get vouchers and get their kids in private schools. And others who can afford it spend thousands of dollars on private schools even though it is expensive and they aren't wealthy families.

There is a common denominator here and it's not race, but there are those who simplify everything and bring race into the discussion.

Now I'm not so naïve to believe that there aren't racists out there, but I know that the driving force behind all of these different groups is what they feel is best for their children, and a sound education is right at the top.

SG parents are no different than the parents of all these other groups, and it's a crying shame how the status quo how people have tried to paint them as Klu Kluxers or racists.

Nothing the frontline piece, kip, Delgado, or anyone else does will stop us. This is about education and community. No amount of name-calling or race-baiting will deter us. We know why we are doing this and we have the law, and truth, on our side.
