As stubborn as some people can be around the Political Board, there are a lot of legitimate complaints around here.
This is not one of them.
Maybe you don't think this is political, but I think it can be spun that way.
Not in regulating what people are allowed to eat, but our society has been horribly lied to when it comes to understanding nutrition.
I believe our public education health classes should teach the benefits of a lower carb, higher protein/fat diet.
If people knew they could be healthy and thinner by eating foods like bacon, burgers, cheese, and creamed spinach, they may be more inclined to live a healthier lifestyle.
One issue causing obesity is that people eat food that doesn't keep them full. Could you eat 1500 calories worth of chicken in one sitting? Chicken is and can be rather low in calories while supplying a tremendous amount of protein. You won't be hit with a "Oh God I have to eat soon!" feeling after a few hours.
Eat pizza with 200 grams of carbs? Have a soda? French fries? Apple pie for dessert?
You'll feed starved by the next meal.
